The Rivers State Cycling Association in conjunction with the Lifestyle Cycling Club of Port Harcourt held the 7th Edition Garden City Cycling Championship on Sunday 26th of February, 2012.
This Year’s edition involved male and female champions from 13 states in addition to other events like: Veteran Riders, Mountain Bikers, Recreational Riders and under 18 school Riders.
Over 150 cyclists participated in the championship in addition to over 800 spectators, comprising cycling enthusiasts, Government officials and the general public.
The event was flagged off by the Commissioner of Sport Rivers State represented by Sir Harry JP (Director of Sport,River State). Also in attendance were Barrister Guido Marangoni (Legal Adviser Italian Cycling Federation) and Mr. Andrea Tonti (Deputy Coach Italian Cycling Federation)
